The Handweavers Guild of Nashville was founded in 1974. With a membership of about 70, the Guild attracts members not only from Tennessee but also from Alabama, Kentucky, and Ohio. Most meetings feature a fiber arts focussed program. In addition, the Guild sponsors several workshops each year, taught by nationally recognized teachers and the Guild's own talented members.

Elaine Aldous is the President, Debbie Todhunter is the Vice-Presidant, Bonnie Pappin is the Treasurer, Ann Evers is the Secretary, and Sarah Webster handles membership and the newsletter.

We welcome invitations to demonstrate spinning, weaving, and other fiber arts locally and regionally in schools, for scout groups, and at historic sites and craft fairs. Information about the spinning and weaving program that we presented in 2009 at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville is at Fiber to Fabric.

The Handweavers Guild of Nashville is affiliated with the Handweavers Guild of America at www.weavespindye.org. Everyone is welcome to join - newbies and professionals! Please email us at info@handweaverstn.org for more information about membership. You may also visit us on Facebook.
